Decadent Raw Chocolate Brownies

Everyone needs a good chocolate treat every now and again. An added bonus, raw cacao is one of the highest antioxidant foods available. Kids will also love this recipe!


  • 400g Oats or Quinoa (for gluten free option) – Blend in food processor with S-blade.
  • 500g Dates – Soak in 1 cup water and blend to pulp
  • 75g chopped nuts of your choice
  • 50g Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1 T Coconut Oil

Mix all ingredients well. Press about 2cm thick into a square dish. Put in fridge.

Icing: (taken from Rawlicous by Peter and Beryn Daniel)

  • 1/2 C Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 C Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1/4 C Raw Honey or Agave

Blend in blender at low speed. Smear on top of brownie base. Put in fridge to set. Once set cut up into blocks and enjoy.
