Superfood Smoothie

This superfood smoothie from the Rawlicious recipe book can sustain you for the entire day. The smoothie has a simple base of bananas, almond milk, and dates (or honey), along with the addition of all the superfoods one can get one’s hands on. This smoothie has so much nutritional goodness packed into it, that if you have a glass at 10am you might not need to eat again until 3pm or even 4pm.

  • 1L water or 1/2 ice, 1/2 water
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 large banana (use frozen banana for a cold milkshake)
  • 3 T Honey/ agave/ maple syrup/ pitted dates to sweeten
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 5 brazil nuts
  • 1 tablespoon hemp protein powder
  • 1 handful goji berries
  • 1 tablespoon maca powder
  • 1 tablespoon green powder
  • 3 tablespoons raw cacao powder/ beans/ nibs
  • 1 pinch Himalayan rock salt
  • 3cm wedge fresh aloe ferox
  • 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil

Blend everything in a blender. Pour into a flask and enjoy throughout the day.
